What GoodSupp is

GoodSupp is an iOS app and reference site that helps people understand what is actually in their supplements. We analyze product labels, score ingredient quality and dosing against published reference ranges, track brand certifications and their verification status, and maintain a database of public regulatory records — FDA warning letters, recalls, lawsuits, and Prop 65 notices — across the supplement industry.

Every score on this site is generated algorithmically by a documented method — read exactly how on How We Score. We take no money from supplement brands, run no affiliate program that influences scores, and show N/A rather than guess when data is missing.

Who writes this

Ryan Johnson — Lead Researcher & Writer. Ryan researches the supplement industry for GoodSupp: reading labels, tracing certification claims back to the certifiers, and digging through FDA enforcement records, recall notices, and court filings. Editorial policy

  • Facts over characterization. When we report on a brand's record, we state what the public documents show and link to them — an FDA letter, a court docket, a recall notice — rather than editorializing.
  • Every claim has a source. Violation and certification data is stored with a link to the original public document, and we verify those links resolve before citing them.
  • No pay-to-play. Brands cannot buy, alter, or remove a score, a page, or a mention.
  • Corrections are fast and honest. Errors reported via our contact form are fixed in the next site build, typically within days.
  • Algorithmic content is labeled. Product, brand, and ingredient pages are generated from our databases and say so; research articles are written and bylined.
